Have you ever heard the saying, “That’s like trying to compare apples to oranges”? This phrase is used to point out drastic differences between two things. Two items could be so different that you almost can’t compare them.

Think about the fiction and nonfiction texts that you have read. When trying to distinguish between fiction and nonfiction, does the line between genres become blurred? Or, are there clear differences between these genres—like comparing apples to oranges? List and discuss the traits that you see in fiction and nonfiction works. Provide examples of each. Explain what you like and dislike about both fiction and nonfiction. What are some examples of works you have read that dance the line between both genres? Ultimately, would you rather read fiction or nonfiction?

fiction is created  from your imagination, while non fiction is based on  on histrical events , true stories and people.

Fiction is fake and nonfiction is real( i.e an apple is red, a orange is not red, an apple is hard, and orange is soft), I do not like things that are not realistic in fiction, but I like how the author uses personification to make the writing seem real, I like the true events in nonfiction, but I don't like the negative results of it, and the black cat by Edgar Allan poe, and I rather read nonfiction
