I'm sorry I don't know how to do this problem, and its the only one I don't understand could anyone help me.

A triangle has vertices at (-2, 3), (3, 4) and (4, -1). If this triangle is dilated by a factor of 2, what are the new vertices of the transformed triangle?

Respuesta :

You would multiply everything by 2. A dilation of 2 is an enlargement, or an increase in shape. If it was -2, it would be a reduction.

Multiply everything by 2:
(-2,3) = (-4,6) (3,4)= (6,8) (4,-1)= (8,-2)

I hope this helps you!
