Solve equation 6X+4(X+10)=0

6x + 4(x + 10) = 0 |use distributive property: a(b + c) = ab + ac
6x + 4x + 40 = 0
10x + 40 = 0 |subtract 40 from both sides
10x = -40 |divide both sides by 10
x = -4
