Catherine De Medici is the one because her son was getting very old and she wanted him to take over and be in power. Hope this helps

Catherine dé Medici was from a famous family of Italian nobility.  She became queen of France through marriage to King Henry II.  (She had married Henry when he was still prince, in 1533.)  When Henry died in 1560, Catherine became regent for her son, Charles IX.  She served as regent for him from 1560 to 1563.
